Heidi Strand
CONSULTANT
Heidi has dedicated her career to working with children and their families to provide nurturing and thoughtful residential care. As a young professional, she directed summer and respite camp programs for youth and adults with physical differences and neuro-diverse experiences. Prior to joining Liston Education Group, Heidi served as the Executive Director of an outdoor therapeutic program, a residential treatment center start-up, and a therapeutic boarding school. She launched a not-for-profit charitable foundation to support families in financial need of mental health services.
With her extensive experience in the behavioral health field, Heidi specializes in partnering with families of adolescents and young adults seeking solutions for their individual needs. She is an engaged advocate for her family and works with therapists to support family systems as they work together toward mental health. Families value her approach of warmth and sincerity.
As an active member of her community, Heidi serves on the Best Practices and Governance Committees with the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP). She travels to Washington, DC, annually to participate in Advocacy Day with her colleagues to support policy initiatives to promote excellence in therapeutic programming. She also sits on her High School Alumni Board and is a volunteer fundraiser for a regional hospice collaborative.
